Sometimes a late-night train journey can be a thing of beauty with a tin of something fun on your flap down table, a packet of crisps and an hour or two of nothing to do but listen to tunes. This comp has been designed for those very journeys it begins with the romance of train travel, the warmth of country folk comfortingly picking up speed like the train pulling out the station 25 minutes later than intended and picks up pace with hits of psych folk pop as people stumble up to the buffet cart for a wet sandwich, it finds it's rhythm in kosmiche stretches of sound as you watch the barely lit trees flash by, your dreamlike state soundtracked by electronic mind tangents and as you give your tin a shake to see how much is left and whether it's worth hitting the buffet cart you see the landmarks of your hometown as you're welcomed to the familiar homely sounds of The Byrds, Tony Joe White and Leon Russell. Romantic, innit? Well now you can pop this record on, close your eyes, imagine you're there and save yourself the £289 it'd cost you for the ride.

From Dusk, through to Dawn. A collection to accompany the change of the fields, the coastline the colour of the sky outside your window as you take your journey. From the compiler of Music For The Stars comes the next collection for Brighton label Two-Piers. Featuring artists such as J.J Cale, Chris & Cosey, The B-52s, The Asphodells, Bob Lind, Linda Perhacs and The Menahan Steet Band.

…This choice of tracks is just one journey, a celebration of the beauty created by the artists, the musicians, the space & sound, the dark & light.
