Easy to forget REM's 'Accelerate', probably their last great record, which is easy to do when you're a band with such an incredible early run as REM (btw and you didn't ask, we're a IRS years leaning shop here) it's easy to forget that they went deep into the 2000s with some peak moments such as the title track, which is still an absolute thrill. Anyway, it's available on vinyl, which is good cos stuff out in 2008 is mad hard to find at a decent price on vinyl.

Released in 2008, Accelerate was intended as a departure from R.E.M.’s previous album, Around the Sun, and was lauded for the aggressive, purposeful sound of the songs. The album was described by Rolling Stone as “one of the best records R.E.M. has ever made.” It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 18 weeks. The LP contains fan favorite “Supernatural Superserious.” This edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl with a printed insert.
