The precursor to 'Pirouette', Model/Actriz's 'Dogsbody' may just be the meaner and rawer older brother displaying that lithe industrial live electronic rock of a Nine Inch Nails whilst also being supremely danceable. IMHO their best work. 

 Model/Actriz are a blend of dance, industrial and post-punk, and the album is a rhythmic suite sprinkled with noise, pop and ambient elements. They’re inspired by everything from the repetition in electronic music to the screeching sounds of
NYC’s subway system, manifesting in unrestrained, confrontational local shows that have
taken the New York underground scene by storm.

‘Dogsbody’ is the 2023 debut album from the Brooklyn-based band (Cole Haden, Jack Wetmore, Ruben Radlauer, Aaron Shapiro). Inspired by the repetition of electronic music and propulsive sounds of post-punk, ‘Dogsbody’ was named Best New Music by Pitchfork and was also featured in Rolling Stone, Alt Press, SPIN, Dazed, The Needle Drop and more.

With no previous promo team, the band secured features with Office Mag, FADER and Document Journal, and they have packed shows from DIY warehouses to official venues to downtown art openings, having toured with Machine Girl, Liily, The Soft Moon, !!! and Girl Pusher.
