Few records put a beaming goofy smile on stupid face more than 'Have Moicy!', it fills my belly full of nourishing stick to your bones fiddling country bluegrass and folk with songs about hearty food, the mystery of a disappearing hamburger, dancing with joy, hometown girls and a dying man's last wish to not jump his wife's bones when he's brown bread. IMHO this record is a country masterpiece, it'll make you feel lovely and warm inside and you know what? I think you could do with that.
1976 album that defined the “freak folk” movement, adding lighthearted elements of the counterculture era to traditionally serious folk-rock motifs. In honor of its 50th anniversary, this edition features new liner notes from Jason P. Woodbury. (AAA) Lacquers cut from analog tape and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing. Take a trip back in time to experience the trailblazing album that critic Robert Christgau calls the “greatest folk album of the rock era.”
